The festival and the contest have different timelines

The 44th Gran Festa hosted the 40th Calçot-Eating Contest. The festival began earlier than the contest, whose winners' archive starts in 1986. The 2026 programme scheduled the contest for 13:00 in El Pati, after the morning's opening activities.

Xavier Currius joined the list of winners

Xavier Currius, from Santa Eugènia de Berga, won with 109 calçots and 3,970 grams. Alejandro Alarcón and Gerald Krüger completed the podium. The contest special includes a more extensive chronicle of that victory and allows it to be compared with the results of other years.
