Crops: Olive trees, grapevines, calçots, vegetables and a few other fruit trees.
Bio: Born in Barcelona, I studied at Camp Joliu in l'Arboç, qualifying as an agricultural technician and a winemaking technician.
After many years working in IT in Barcelona, I decided to take the leap, leave the conveniences of city life and discover what it means to work in the countryside.
Combining my website skills with the chance to work the fields right outside my door led to Calsotada.com: a place to record my experiences and reminders for the following year, covering everything to do with the land and the work it involves.
Why calçotada? Because it is a way of eating onions while having a wonderful time, bringing friends and family together over a good meal.
