I have to confess that in Sunday's paella I cooked the first of them. Like anything grown with care and affection, it was delicious — absolutely wonderful! Healthy, home-grown food.
I leave you a snapshot that I took yesterday afternoon of one of the artichokes, specifically, this will be ready next Sunday. Good excuse to make a paella, right? Or battered, who knows.
